[Bug 57213] New: Starcraft 2 ram usage problem
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57213 Bug ID: 57213 Summary: Starcraft 2 ram usage problem Product: Wine-staging Version: 9.17 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: calmstorm(a)posteo.de CC: leslie_alistair(a)hotmail.com, z.figura12(a)gmail.com Distribution: --- Basically, I play one game of Starcraft 2 via wine-staging. If its long enough, it will start to lag severely if i play a 2nd game, severe lag. By severe, I mean the players in the game are forced to drop me within minutes if I don't leave. I am not sure how I should save a log of this. all I know is that I start the game, I am using 1.5GB once I start it. After the first game or 40 minutes, I am using 5.6GB! Very annoying it is. Any advice as to how to fix this? PS, using a Debian fork known as Devuan. Its based on debian bookworm btw. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Does the same occur with vanilla, non-Staging Wine?
I tried a while back and it did. The interesting thing is, the problem got fixed like 6 patches ago. It now eats a lot less ram. Its at most using 5. And I upgraded my ram to 32GB. When I first got 32GB it was eating like 12GB or something. So I guess this is fixed for now. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
