If I enter a number in a cell and leave the cell, the number gets reformatted with ".." in the middle of it. For example: 22 --> 2..2 44 --> 4..4 4444 --> 4..4 1000 --> 1. (not a typo, nothing after the ".") Very frustrating. An accidential test: in Wine, I pulled up a Windows' create file with a huge table in it. I "save as'ed" the file under a new name before I realized all the numbers had been reformatted. Then I opened it in Windows to see what damage had been wrought upon my new file. It came out perfect in Windows. I live and die by tables. I really, really need this fixed. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist in the troubleshooting. My offer of reimbursement for a cheap copy of Smart Suite (Word Pro) still holds. Fresh information! The lwp file I made the screenshot with was made under Wine. On a lark, I looked at the file under Windows and it came out perfect. OO is so, so buggy as to bring a tear to a grown man's eye. The only bugs OO fixes are ones that break what ever new feature bloat they are working on. The day to day bugs that effect the users are ignored, especially bugs in tables. Here are some OO Bug examples (most are mine): issue 11215, 19227, 20878, 89290, 89293, 89294, 89295, 89296, 89297, 89315, 89317, 90464, 90465, 91084, 91357. They just get ignored. (11215: Feb 5, 2003; 19227 Sep 8, 2003; 20878: Oct 8, 2003, etc.) So, I tear my hair out and says words I wish I never learned and keep using it. And, hope that WINE has finally fixed bug 15575, which means I could finally use Word Pro, instead of OO. Word Pro is very mature and most of the bugs have long since been fixed. Is there any chance 15575 could be elevated? And, if you can get a developer to commit to it, and if he needs it, I will send him my extra copy of Smart Suite (Word Pro, Lotus 123, Approach, Organizer). Now to go and try and save what hair I have left and wash my mouth out with soap. I really, really need you guys to fix this. And, free software!
