I tested bug 30623 and bug 40748 and both bugs are a lot improved with the staging patches, but not completely fixed. Could be another issue. Patch 1 of the staging patchset should no longer be needed as of 2.17, and patch 2 looks wrong to me (might be working around the shortcomings of patch 1?). Everything renders properly with current git. There's some minor corruption on some buttons, like 1 pixel gap as if two images were not drawn exactly one after another. I've seen this with other applications, so it must be another GDI+ issue.
