No, I mean a demo of the game that others can download and test with that shows the problem. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12807 --- Comment #10 from sternn <sternn(a)uhacc.org> 2008-05-02 23:46:22 --- Created an attachment (id=12653) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=12653) Crash output from Wine 0.61 I upgraded to a newer kernel, nvidia driver, and wine version. Now running kernel 2.6.25, nvidia driver 173.08 beta (required for 2.6.25), and wine-0.61. The crash happens in exactly the same fashion (1680x1050). Changing to 1440x900 prevents this completely. I feel I should note that I am running with 4GB RAM on an Intel Q6600 (Core 2 Quad) CPU. I understand win32 apps can only use 2GB tops, but I'm not sure if that factors into this. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Not sure if it's related though: When I play now with the new Steam update, the game will (almost) consistently slow down, get slower and slower, until finally it only plays while the cursor is moving. This of course keeps me from playing at all because everyone else moves while I'm stuck (and wiggling the mouse doesn't work so well. Another interesting note about this is from that point on, even if I'm not playing a game, the animations on the menus also don't go until I move the mouse. The sound skips too while this happens. Should I open another bug, or has it been reported elsewhere? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12807 Matt Smith <mreedsmith(a)gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |mreedsmith(a)gmail.com --- Comment #14 from Matt Smith <mreedsmith(a)gmail.com> 2008-12-15 05:50:51 --- This bug has followed me through several versions of wine (currently 1.1.10), kernels, etc. It only occurs in TF2 and only at 1680x1050 (I was problem-free with my last monitor at 1600x1200). Making hl2.exe run with wine acting as windows 98 prevents the crash (but also ruins performance). Launching the game with -dxlevel 81 has no effect. The game will not run with the pixel shader turned off. I haven't been able to find a cause for this bug, but it may be tied to a certain amount of mouse/keyboard input. Also, the game now crashes cleanly instead of leaving a defunct hl2.exe. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

I am not sure if it is the same bug, though. Is there any way to get some info through debugging in the command line? right now, I'm running with WINEDEBUG="fixme-all" and getting nothing that could be a hint. Any ideas? Also, a similar crash would happen with fallout 3, in which the sound would loop, the video would freeze, and there would be an eventual crash to desktop. Is there any evidence to suggest that these two bugs could be related, or am I being too vague to even consider drawing that conclusion? -Justin -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
