For me it works too (using Wine-0.9.38+).  
It is unable to connect, but it notifies me 
only after a long timeout (1 or 2 minutes). 
If I "Test firewall and router settings", 
my firefox opens some page.  I use external 
IP on a DSL line for tests.  The only output:
