I experience a similar problem, though the entire application does not freeze. 
When I enter the Cashier and select "Make Deposit," the Cashier hangs with the
message "Verifying Account Information" in the window.

I'm using Wine 0.9.47 on Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon 7.10.
