Your log also tells you didn't use a clean WINEPREFIX, making this bug possibly invalid. FYI you can get many older Kindle versions/builds here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_kindle_for_pc/history/ $ wine --version wine-1.3.34-327-g447384e $ sha1sum KindleForPC-installer.exe e7f5c7c427c174ddbdbdb89b31f3a5e4f01c2fb5 KindleForPC-installer.exe Reopen if you can reproduce the crash with clean WINEPREFIX and _recent_ Wine version.
