One bug is 17437. I normally monitor the wine news group with thunderbird. Another (possibly related?) problem is when a bug comment has a paragraph starting with "From "; the message is cut off in the archives. I guess this due to sendmail or something. No open bugs match but more then 200 closed bugs are returned so I could have missed one. Off hand it acts like an counter overflow. Individuals do as well. I'm subscribed to bug 421 (dib engine), and I can no longer read the messages, since gmail trims them off after a certain limit (I could click okay to expand, but I'm lazy...besides, only the latest comment/change should be sent). I actually was just getting ready to file a bug for this.
