Unfortunately your crash log isn't that useful because the backtrace doesn't really pinpoint the origin of the assertion (stackframes are garbage). Does the crash happen during 'install' or 'update' phase? Please check if it helps to avoid the crash. If yes, it's probably a dupe of already existing wininet bugs. [a bunch of stuff] /opt/local/lib/../bin/wine: line 5: 18883 Abort trap: 6 DYLD_FALLBACK_LIBRARY_PATH="/opt/local/lib:/usr/lib" "/opt/local/libexec/wine/wine" "$@" But before that I also get the attached screen shot, to which I click OK. I tried a new prefix and didn't install .NET using winetricks, in an attempt to copy your success, but the installer failed at the .NET portion. So I had to install that manually first.
