I tried setting d3dcompiler_43 to native, builtin in winecfg in this application but the game still won't start up.
From the log it seems that you are still using native d3dcompiler. Please attach a "WINEDEBUG=+loaddll" log.

A native DLL is only a workaround. The problem is a valid Wine bug.

The patcher starts and runs, but it isn't displayed correctly. I tried native d3dx9 & d3dcompiler, but still it shows black. It does work with DXVK, however. That is a different bug, of course.
