[Bug 40973] New: Kernel prematurely closes installation process
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40973 Bug ID: 40973 Summary: Kernel prematurely closes installation process Product: Wine Version: 1.9.14 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: kernel32 Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: p.johnson(a)linux.com Distribution: --- Attempted to install SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition using wine-1.9.13 (Staging). Installation starts successfully, program takes in registration code and begins installing with a working progress bar. However, once reaching 100% on the first installation screen, the installer window closes and never prompts for disk 2. When setup.exe is ran again, the splash screen offers to Play the installed game. Clicking play opens a full-screen window and the game attempts to run, but never progresses past the EA splash screen. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Please attach a standard output log without debug channels so we can check if there is any expressive warning being printed. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. If not, I'll happily share the right one if I can be pointed towards some instructions on proper logging and formatting. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
