http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25441 --- Comment #5 from Andrew Nguyen <arethusa26(a)gmail.com> 2010-12-06 15:23:18 CST --- "fixme" messages do not inherently indicate a defect in Wine. Did the installer encounter any functionality issues with builtin riched20? If not, then this bug is invalid. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25441 --- Comment #6 from Don Pobanz <dpobanz(a)gmail.com> 2010-12-06 15:46:01 CST --- Andrew, This was NOT about the fixme messages, but about the err message. See initial description. I was under the impression that err messages should not appear. The program (Libronix) will only partially install whether using winetricks with riched20 or not. So regardless, there are more issues than this (if it is an issue.) I was just trying to get started getting this to run. There are lots of people who would love to run this under wine. Thanks for your attention to the matter. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Andrew,
This was NOT about the fixme messages, but about the err message. See initial description. I was under the impression that err messages should not appear.
You don't note any visible richedit-related issues in your problem description, so the error message is probably harmless.
The program (Libronix) will only partially install whether using winetricks with riched20 or not. So regardless, there are more issues than this (if it is an issue.) I was just trying to get started getting this to run. There are lots of people who would love to run this under wine.
Thanks for your attention to the matter.
Please elaborate on what you mean by "partially install". I notice this in your debug output: fixme:msxml:domdoc_setProperty Ignoring property L"NewParser", value 7860 Does native msxml3 let the installer progress further? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25441 --- Comment #8 from Don Pobanz <dpobanz(a)gmail.com> 2010-12-07 10:37:24 CST --- After going back through the installation process on windows and comparing the files created under the libronix directory and then using wine and the files created, they look the same. Also, the process completes for stage 1 for wine the same way as when I install it using windows. (I had thought that the primary executable for the program was created here in stage 1, but in windows it isn't created till stage 2) So, it may just be the stage 2 that has problems. In that stage, the software connects to the Libronix servers and updates the program. This is where the executable for the primary program is created. So, Andrew may be right. This "bug" may not be a bug at all. Thanks for the help. I don't know if it matters but, using winetricks with msxml3 does eliminate the message: fixme:msxml:domdoc_setProperty Ignoring property L"NewParser", value 7860 However new different error messages then pop up. But that may be beside the point now. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
