[Bug 8949] Neocron 2.2 Client.exe crashes at character selection screen

The audio error is minor compared to the game completely crashing out when it
tries to go in game. At character selection screen the characters are rendered
in DX9 and when it tries to do that, it crashes with the error in the attachment
I added
