Download the install in http://magic.wizards.com/en/content/download sha1sum setup.exe 259ad405dea7fda0082c505c5ab0007c38bdaa2e setup.exe 1. Use winecfg to set version to Windows 7 If using default Windows XP, the installer would pop up a window, saying we need to install a hotfix for Windows(as it is too old) 2. wine setup.exe wine-gecko is loaded, presenting the webpage: http://mtgoclientdepot.onlinegaming.wizards.com/MTGO.application And the installer stops -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Since the bug reporter didn't explicitly tell if native .NET Frameworks were used, assuming Wine-Mono. Default WINEPREFIX setting 'Windows XP' can be used - even if the installer complains about Hotfixes/QFE's. Just let it download/install/fail with the hotfix installers, they have no meaning in Wine anyway. Bootstrapping (ClickOnce deployment) works fine here with 'winetricks -q dotnet40'. the client is a .NET 4.x ClickOnce deployment installer (.application).
Since the bug reporter didn't explicitly tell if native .NET Frameworks were used, assuming Wine-Mono.
Default WINEPREFIX setting 'Windows XP' can be used - even if the installer complains about Hotfixes/QFE's. Just let it download/install/fail with the hotfix installers, they have no meaning in Wine anyway.
Bootstrapping (ClickOnce deployment) works fine here with 'winetricks -q dotnet40'.
