I have replaced the two riched dlls (20 and 32) and installed the Microsoft XML parsers (3,4, and 6) using wintricks.sh. Office 2003 Professional abends after install configuration options chosen and installation begins.
I have replaced the two riched dlls (20 and 32) and installed the Microsoft XML parsers (3,4, and 6) using wintricks.sh.
I cannot however set riched20 to Native only since this prevents EndNoteX1 from starting - so it is set to Native, Built-in.
There were a couple of bugs that affected installation of Office 2003 Professional from 0.9.61 through 1.0-rc4. These were fixed as of 1.0-rc5. Try upgrading to 1.0 and see if that fixes your problem. You should not need any dll overrides. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Muncrief <rmuncrief(a)comcast.net> 2008-07-12 05:16:51 --- Microsoft Office 2003 hasn't installed correctly since 1.1.0. After entering the serial number and hitting next it says that the "installation media has been corrupted" I'm using native riched and msxml 3 and 4 DLL's, and running Ubuntu Gutsy x86_64. I tried both 1.1.0 and 1.1.1. Office install perfectly under 1.0.0. I'll run a bisect if I have to but it sure will take a long time. Does anyone now that the problem could be? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

It now aborts for me in 1.1.1, but I don't think it's the same bug you're describing; the error message is different and it happens at a different point. What version of Office 2003 do you have? Also, have you tried installing without any dll overrides? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13960 --- Comment #4 from Robert M. Muncrief <rmuncrief(a)comcast.net> 2008-07-12 18:11:52 --- Created an attachment (id=14764) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=14764) Output and description of MS Office 2003 install error OK, I've attached the output and description of the error. I ran a virgin installation of 1.1.1 without any native DLL's. And I was wrong about 1.1.0. MS Office installs, but the installation of service pack 3 fails. I will file a bug on it if there's still a problem after this bug is fixed. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
