[Bug 17146] New: Star Trek Armada 2 Demo crashes with Open Suse 11.1 and the OSS Nvidia graphics driver
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17146 Summary: Star Trek Armada 2 Demo crashes with Open Suse 11.1 and the OSS Nvidia graphics driver Product: Wine Version: 1.1.13 Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: bojan(a)antonovic.ch Created an attachment (id=19008) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=19008) with activated pixel shader All Star Trek Armada 2 versions that I have tested work nearly perfectly under this combination: - Open Suse 11.1 - non-oss Nvidia driver - emulated desktop However, with the default free Nvidia graphics driver, an no emulated desktop, all Star Trek Armada 2 versions that I have tested crash when you want to game. With deactivated pixel shader, you can start playing, but soon the game freezes, and then I had to force-quit it. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

It won't cut it for this game. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17146 Vitaliy Margolen <vitaliy(a)kievinfo.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|RESOLVED |CLOSED --- Comment #5 from Vitaliy Margolen <vitaliy(a)kievinfo.com> 2009-08-26 21:47:34 --- Closing. You can't disable pixel shader for any modern games, they plain won't work. And the crash is clearly in the graphics driver - not Wine bug. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
