However during beta testing Sins Rebellion I was able to change resolution, on my nvidia... so some magic combination of overrides fixes the problem. Edit rebllion.user.setting by hand. It's just a text file. The two lines are: VideoFullScreenWidth 1920 VideoFullScreenHeight 1080 The other is to enable 'Emulate a Virtual Desktop' with a resolution at least equal to what you want to set. This seems to work fine with mesa here (tested with i965, r300g and llvmpipe drivers). Can someone with NVIDIA drivers try with nouveau and compare? Just to be clear, the original bug behavior was that no resolutions were displayed at all. If I understand correctly from your last post, the problem with resolution change not working is also on Windows (so not a wine bug), however if windows reports more resolutions than Wine there still may be something going wrong on the Wine side. Just check with xrandr that the resolutions are even available on Linux. BTW I don't have the SoaSE media at hand to test but the demo here works fine, i.e. I can see the resolutions reported by xrandr (minus low resolutions like 800x600 which are probably too small) and I can successfully change it.
