The Powerpoint Viewer currently available for download from Microsoft installs and runs fine on my system, even when installed to a 64 bit wineprefix. When I switch Wine option from Windows 8 to Windows XP - all become work.

After changing to Vista, i run PowerPoint 2010. This bug is about Powerpoint Viewer, downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=13, not the full version of Powerpoint. It is still present in wine-1.7.46-193-g8b566b1. With the Windows version set to Vista or 7, the app now pops up an error message that says "An error occurred while opening the file dialog.
