[Bug 14446] New: Fritz&Fertig 2 fails to run
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14446 Summary: Fritz&Fertig 2 fails to run Product: Wine Version: 1.1.0 Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: leo_zen(a)gmx.at I can install Fritz&Fertig (Part2) [chess-introduction] and launch it. But finally it fails when the *Media Player* replays the Video (or Flash???) with an Error: Title: Direct Player Error Text: Frame not defined. Script Error. Continue? Yes/No. Selection: NO => the App terminates Selection: YES => the App continues, but the video lacks of interface. i.e. no further speech and no further interaction is possible. Normally there should be something like speech, then you click on some Buttons where it is checked, if the mouse-selection on screen was fine, etc.etc. I guess, as long as the whole interaction remains in the Window, the app works fine. But as soon as it tries to grab the full Window, then it fails. The error occurs only, after some progress after the start. But this is finally a Blocker. Sine I have no idea, what kind of *Video* this is, I guess, this might happen as well in other scenarios as well. If there is something I could provide, then please tell me HOW? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

with wine 1.1.13 I can currently not run the autorun.exe from the drive.
I have executed before run:
rm .wine/*.reg
The result is the attached output.
Why would you do that? If you want to use a clean prefix, remove ~/.wine, not ~/.wine/*.reg. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Uhu, so remove the whole .wine folder? Does this mean, the entries in the Desktop are removed as well? Sorry, I am not THAT technical involved as a Linux-guy should be. Yes.

No, you'd have do that manually (same for Applications menu). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
