[Bug 12251] New: Gamma on screen is brighter after application exits
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12251 Summary: Gamma on screen is brighter after application exits Product: Wine Version: 0.9.58. Platform: Other OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: trivial Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: chris(a)chrobis.com Created an attachment (id=11689) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=11689) Console output from Star Trek: Legacy I have observed a problem on my KDE desktop where after running a Wine application and closing it (either normally or killing it), the screen's gamma is much higher. This is easily rectifiable when I right-click on my KDE desktop, click "Configure desktop" and then select "Display" - before even attempting to change the settings, it automatically reverts back to what it should be. I've only observed this running Star Trek: Legacy so far, of which there is no demo, but I have attached my console output from that game in case it is useful; and I'll update with further applications that do this should I find them. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12251 --- Comment #1 from Chris Wales <chris(a)chrobis.com> 2008-07-16 04:41:10 --- Still present in 1.1.1 - I have however observed (I have an nVidia card) that loading the nvidia-settings program up immediately corrects the excess gamma; nothing else short of an X restart seems to do this. I have yet to locate this bug in any other games or demos. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12251 --- Comment #6 from Chris Wales <chris(a)chrobis.com> 2009-05-13 17:04:49 --- It no longer applies for the app Star Trek Legacy when closing normally - it does apply when killing the app, but then so do any other screen changes (such as resize). For me this bug is no longer present unless anyone else can confirm? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
