I noticed that you have a 4-core CPU (me a 2-core) - but I don't think that "SHOULD" matter. Could it be some special debian patch!?

With the 35-rc6 kernel and wine 1.3 it works, then I have a different issue. Thanks Great for you :) What is the different issue? Where did you get your wine 1.3 from? I tried kernel 2.6.35-14 with wine-git and it doesn't work.

Downside is - Wine does not work with OSS on this particular kernel and Alsa plugin messes up regularly. So you're usual Wine sound issues. Attached the difference in traps.c, between mainline and ubuntu kernel, maybe the crash is related to one of these hunks. In theory you would have to diff between between 2.6.35-rc6 (debian) and 2.6.35-14 (ubuntu). On the resulting differences you then could do a AND filter for all lines included in 2.6.35-020635 (ubuntu ppa). Sadly I don't have any clue how to do this.
