Please specify the Wine version used, and attach complete standard error output (http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).

Hi shims, hard to follow your comment when 1 paragraph = 1 sentence. Anyway, i can not confirm your problem. Get original DVD run "wine setup.exe" on it. Installation tested under clean wine environment in .31, .30, .29, .28, .26 and CoD4:MW is playable after that.
