Could you try this patch: https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=57811&action=diff And make sure your prefix is set to Windows 7 (should be that by default). -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42370 --- Comment #2 from Andrey Gusev <andrey.goosev(a)gmail.com> --- Probably not a Wine bug according to topics about same problem on Windows. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42370 --- Comment #3 from Anthony Jagers <noonetinone(a)gmail.com> --- Thank You Andrey. I had forgotten about this bug. FWIW, SE 3 doesn't yet work, for different reasons. I'm closing this as NOTABUG. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Given comment 3 I'm resolving it ABANDONED instead. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42370 --- Comment #6 from Anthony Jagers <noonetinone(a)gmail.com> --- How can you declare something abandoned when I just commented on it? It's my bug report. To me it's non-issue. The "Completing Installation 1%" box is normal steam behavior. I see it all of the time for other applications that have trouble starting. When I fix what the problem with offending game is, the box goes away the next time I try to start it. What I'm saying is I'm used to it. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Maybe ABANDONED isn't the correct resolution but certainly NOTOURBUG wasn't either. Here's a quick cheat sheet: - ABANDONED: the original bug reported disappeared or doesn't care about the bug anymore (and there is no easy way for anyone else to retest - that usually means no download URL) - FIXED: the bug was fixed in Wine; it can be reproduced with an older Wine version but not with current Wine - INVALID: it's an application bug or it isn't a bug to begin with - NOTOURBUG: the bug isn't in Wine but it is in one of the libraries used by Wine (upstream) or in whoever distributes Wine (downstream) Feel free to choose whichever resolution matches better. Otherwise you can also reopen the bug. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
