City of Heroes crashes when disabling 3D sound

Steps to reproduce:
1) Run City of Heroes
2) Under Options->Graphics and Audio, enable 3D sound
3) Click "Apply now"
4) Disable 3D sound

Expected result:
3D sound is disabled

Actual result:
City of Heroes crashes with the following console output:

PROGRAM CRASH OCCURRED!
Segmentation fault

The last two lines of my bug report are all of it.  Wine doesn't generate a
backtrace.

Then enable coredump (ulimit -c unlimited) and make it crash again. Then
inspect it with gdb too see what exactly crashed.
