http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18816 --- Comment #4 from Adam Bolte <boltronics(a)gmail.com> 2011-01-09 09:13:23 CST --- Created an attachment (id=32785) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=32785) World of Goo (patched to latest 1.30 release) running under wine 1.3.11 on Ubuntu 10.10 using the build from the WINE PPA. Confirming still a problem in 1.3.11. Attached is the program output of the retail boxed version. The first HTTPS reference occurred when the Goo Factory area was loading. Once in, I clicked the connect button three times (the other three HTTPS messages). The entire time I was running a packet capture like so: $ sudo tcpdump -s0 -i br0 -w /home/abolte/world_of_goo-1.3.11_capture.pcap I captured absolutely nothing, but tcpdump was working - I successfully tested capturing other traffic afterwards. You appear to get the same problem using the demo (although it connects to humanbraincloud.com instead of worldofgoo.com). It's downloadable from: http://www.worldofgoo.com/dl2.php?lk=demo&filename=WorldOfGooDemo.1.0.exe -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18816 --- Comment #5 from butraxz(a)gmail.com 2013-06-30 08:37:10 CDT --- This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days. Is this still an issue in wine version 1.6-rc4 or higher or is this to be closed as abandoned ? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18816 --- Comment #6 from Adam Bolte <boltronics(a)gmail.com> 2013-07-05 12:33:30 CDT --- Still an issue in 1.6-rc4 (tested retail CD version patched to 1.30). No online connectivity in game. I dug out an old Windows XP laptop and installed the game there, and could connect online fine. Despite it being quite old, the servers are still running. I also quickly did a tcpdump capture running with Wine but still didn't see any network traffic. Seems safe to say that the status is unchanged. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18816 --- Comment #9 from Adam Bolte <abolte(a)systemsaviour.com> --- Still fails to connect in 1.9.0. Note that the HTTPS certificate for worldofgoo.com (re-issued in 2014) is self-signed. I don't know if it was self-signed previously. The line with 'HTTP POST: https://worldofgoo.com/wogbuddy2.php?hwkey=cfcd208495d565ef66e7dff9f98764da&...' stands out to me. When I run that with curl: $ curl -k -i -d 'hwkey=cfcd208495d565ef66e7dff9f98764da' -d 'name=Boltronics' -d 'op=GetPlayerKey' -d 'version=1%2e20win' https://worldofgoo.com/wogbuddy2.php HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Mon, 28 Dec 2015 11:53:47 GMT Server: Apache Content-Length: 18 Content-Type: text/html <!-- back soon --> Again, not sure if it was always like that. This bug is too old. The requested +relay,+seh,+tid,+wininet,+winhttp trace is 59M and too large to attach to this bug, so it's posted here instead: https://systemsaviour.com/downloads/misc/wine/18816/wine-world_of_goo-1.9.0_... -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
