This only happens with some mail. How to reproduce: 1) In File/Preferences/User Preferences, under Basics, Additional Options, make sure there is no tick at "Disable embedded browser for MIME mail" 2) Send an HTML mail to your Notes mail account (MIME, not a Notes mail). 3) Open that mail in Notes and it'll crash Work-around: Put a tick at above mentioned options and HTML mails can be viewed fine. The name of that option is misleading, because according to the Notes help, the "embedded MIME browser" is the system's browser.
