When running sleeping dogs (pirated version) i get this error. I removed the
.wine folder and then reran the installer. The game installed but when running
it the error occurred, Left 4 dead 2 and Half life 2 worked flawlessly. I have
no additional drivers installed and am currently using garuda linux(arch and
kde based distro).

This makes the bug automatically INVALID per the WineHQ policy.

Discussing pirated/cracked software is forbidden on WineHQ.org. You'll have to
deal with it on your own or wait until a similar issue is reported with a
legally acquired version of the application and it gets fixed.

The AppDB [1] seems to indicate that the (legally acquired) application is last
known to be working on Wine 8.0.1-staging, and no recent bug indicate such an
issue with more recent Wine versions.
