[Bug 40428] New: Lichdom: Battlemage will not launch
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40428 Bug ID: 40428 Summary: Lichdom: Battlemage will not launch Product: Wine-staging Version: 1.9.7 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: fjfrackiewicz(a)gmail.com CC: erich.e.hoover(a)wine-staging.com, michael(a)fds-team.de, sebastian(a)fds-team.de Distribution: --- Created attachment 54172 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=54172 Terminal output for Lichdom Battlemage in Wine 1.9.7 Staging Hi, I have a 64-bit prefix with d3dx10 installed via winetricks. I installed the GOG version of Lichdom Battlemage and I ran the 64-bit version of the game with "wine LichdomBattlemage.exe" and the game simply refuses to start. It fails to load so there's no backtrace but I do have some terminal output in case it helps any. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Unless this a regression specific to Wine Staging, the "Wine" product is more appropriate.
Apologies, I thought since I am using Wine Staging, I should file a bug report with that product. Sorry! -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

WOW64 prefix and I've ran both the 32 and 64-bit versions of the game and both versions will sit there and output the following lines until I kill the game: fixme:d3d11:d3d11_immediate_context_OMSetBlendState Per-rendertarget blend not implemented. fixme:d3d11:d3d11_immediate_context_OMSetBlendState Color mask > 3 not implemented. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. After that short terminal output, the game prompts me with a dialog box that asks if I want to send an error report to the developer of the game. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. I've attached the error log that the game makes whenever it crashes. I am not sure as to whether it will be of any use but I don't have any backtraces to offer.
I believe that this is identical to an issue which was just fixed in Wine Staging git. Please retest with 1.9.12 after it has been released, or with Wine Staging git if you have the possibility to compile it yourself. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. The new System Shock demo (GOG version) appears to use Direct X 11: https://www.gog.com/game/system_shock_demo
It too spams the terminal with the following lines:
fixme:d3d11:d3d11_immediate_context_OMSetBlendState Per-rendertarget blend not implemented. fixme:d3d11:d3d11_immediate_context_OMSetBlendState Color mask > 3 not implemente
That would be a separate bug. FWIW these fixmes are most likely unrelated with the issues. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

The only reason I brought that up is because once the game (Lichdom) gets to the green screen, the terminal is spammed with just those two lines until I kill the process.
