[Bug 18580] New: "Fancy shadows" don't render correctly
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18580 Summary: "Fancy shadows" don't render correctly Product: Wine Version: 1.1.22 Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P4 Component: directx-d3d AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: eiffel56(a)gmail.com Created an attachment (id=21246) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=21246) Ingame screenshot showing floating shadows It is possible to activate that "fancy shadows"(well, they are rendered in realtime in contrast to the old ones) with latest Wine. Sadly, they won't render correctly. The shadows are there, but not displayed under the objects that should get the shadows. They are just floating in the air. It gets even worse if you set the shadows to the maximum, enabling building's shadows. Attached is a screenshot showing the situation. The red circle shows my character's one. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

The shadow masks appear to render randomly at the top layer of the viewport. It's quite surreal. It should be noted that wow now runs (1.1.22) with d3d instead of opengl! -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18580 --- Comment #2 from Lisa Denia <eiffel56(a)gmail.com> 2009-05-31 11:09:48 --- Using the newest Wine from GIT(latest commit is fbb43c42a752039544daed980f7e590134be475a), all "fancy" shadows(that includes all shadow settings except the first one, which is old and works so far) will just not be drawn. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

This is a regression, I opened a new bug report(http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18721) regarding this issue. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18580 --- Comment #5 from Lisa Denia <eiffel56(a)gmail.com> 2009-06-01 13:58:59 --- I noticed that if you set OffscreenRenderingMode to fbo, the fancy shadows will as far as I can see render correctly. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Is this still an issue in current (1.1.40 or newer) wine? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
