It doesn't re-draw, it doesn't react to mouse clicks, it doesn't show pop-up hints when moving mouse cursor over it. The only thing it does well is changing cursor to some WINE default. Can you try 0.9.60? There were a few window management regressions in 0.9.59...
Just tried 0.9.60. With new version, WINE apps don't work at all. I even can't use winecfg. Windows are not re-drawn, they don't respond to mouse/keyboard actions etc. Tried to install from two sources: * binary package for Ubuntu * compiled manually from Git sources The results are the same. Can you try in a fresh ~/.wine? Indeed, my old ~/.wine is not so old. I use fake_windows just because some older WINE version used it.

NVIDIA GeForce4 440MX, NVIDIA driver version: 96.43.05 (legacy branch). No Beryl or Compiz (indeed, compiz-fusion is installed, but not used due to incompatibilities with many programs).
