http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11761 --- Comment #3 from John Bagnall <j.m.bagnall(a)btinternet.com> 2008-03-03 06:12:50 --- I did not say wine freezes machine, but that running winecfg freezes machine. Fault may be elsewhere but is triggered by running winecfg and by nothing else in my experience. Some interaction no doubt. What drivers do you mean ? Check them how? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11761 --- Comment #4 from Lei Zhang <thestig(a)google.com> 2008-03-03 12:08:41 --- Winecfg is essentially just a wrapper to run "wine winecfg.exe.so". The most likely cause is your video drivers. Ask your distro's support channels if you need help upgrading them. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Video drivers most likely. Try another version/updating them/vesa/generic drivers and see if the same occurs. ATI is known for buggy drivers. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
