[Bug 24951] New: Call of Duty / UO: Jerky freelook
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24951 Summary: Call of Duty / UO: Jerky freelook Product: Wine Version: 1.3.6 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: gav616(a)gmail.com At the main menu: When the cursor is moveed around it 'seems' to be at a very low framerate and it jerks about. In-game: When freelooking around, the game seems to stay at the correct rate but the mouse movements are jerked and misinterpreted. It looks like the FPS is dropping to 5 when the jerks occur, but the FPS remains constant through the jerks. Audio is not effected. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Mouse jumps (almost looks quantized) in the menu. In-game the keyboard movements are smooth, but the mouse movements are incredibly slow. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24951 --- Comment #8 from Håvard Pedersen <fuzzy76(a)fuzzy76.net> 2011-10-31 14:37:21 CDT --- Unfortunately, I am not experienced enough to compile my own Wine executables. I am running Wine on OS X through Winery. To make up for this omittance, I did a simple regression test for CoD using the binary versions of Wine distributed with Winery. There are several things going on, this is what I found: 1.2.3 - 1.3.14 (I did not bother to test further back) Works mostly ok (within the scope of this ticket anyway). Though the serverlist has noticeably slower mouse movements than both the main screen and the in-game menus. 1.3.15-1.3.17 The serverlist shows the jumpy mouse problem. But both the main screen and the in-game menus does not. 1.3.18-1.3.26 Most of the time I do not see a mouse pointer at all on the main screen. Some times I briefly get a glimpse of it. I suspect it might be REALLY jumpy. :) This makes it impossible for me to test the serverlist or the in-game menus. 1.3.27 Extremely jumpy mouse on main screen, looks like a gradual progress to 1.3.28... Did not test the rest of the game. 1.3.28-1.3.31 Jumpy mouse exhibited on main screen, serverlist, in-game menus and during gameplay. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

I wonder if your patch fixes lots of old bugs that mention slow mouse movement in title... -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
