The games from the trilogy on Steam are working properly. Alien Breed: Impact Alien Breed 2: Assault Alien Breed 3: Descent Pre-req: Nvidia Physx installed The splash screen is displayed then the screen turns black and the games quit before the main menu could be reached. This pops up from the terminal output: 0024:err:virtual:map_view anon mmap error Cannot allocate memory, size 0x7a7b0000, unix_prot 0x3 0024:err:virtual:allocate_virtual_memory out of memory for allocation, base (nil) size 7a7a0000 Bisecting reveals that the crash occurs since commit efd03f40e6e315d89cd1d09c48180aae82033f9f server: Assign a system-wide mapping address for dynamic base modules. I don't think it's directly related to that commit, except insofar as it changes the address space layout. Sounds like the usual issue of running out of 32-bit address space. I don't think it's directly related to that commit, except insofar as it changes the address space layout. It may be interesting to try with the new wow64 mode.
The game starts properly in the new wow64 mode.
