[Bug 59320] New: Gothic 1 Demo hangs on startup
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59320 Bug ID: 59320 Summary: Gothic 1 Demo hangs on startup Product: Wine Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 URL: https://archive.org/download/Gothic1demo/setupg1demo-e n.exe OS: Linux Status: NEW Keywords: download, regression Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: opengl Assignee: wine-bugs@list.winehq.org Reporter: gyebro69@gmail.com CC: rbernon@codeweavers.com Regression SHA1: df7943684d11c4ad26128da2abc1506f29c4eb45 Distribution: ArchLinux Upon launch, the game displays an empty, unresponsive window, and the executable consumes 100 % of the CPU. Reverting commit df7943684d11c4ad26128da2abc1506f29c4eb45 fixes the problem for me. This happens whether I'm starting the game under X (XFCE) or XWayland / native Wayland driver on KDE Plasma 6.5.5. Also happens when switching back to the old GLX backend. Terminal output doesn't show anything relevant. The game's own exception handler always kicks-in and I don't know how to disable it. It saves a 'Program.RPT' in the root of the wineprefix which shows that an exception occurred in wined3d. The bug also affects the 'classic' version of Gothic 1 that is still available on GOG.com. The modded, Union-patched version of Gothic 1 that utilizes D3D11 is, however, not affected. wine-11.1-58-gf4626afec7c Nvidia binary drivers 590.48.01 setupg1demo-en.exe sha256: 0490689f09dc9c27bf5362b712981285579c34cdc164fce2aaee1f9f48893868 -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
