Wine 1.9.0. I installed Uplay though winetricks in a new win32 prefix, and it actually ran the first time. But then I clicked on "change avatar" and the whole thing crashed. Every subsequent attempt to load the prefix has since been throwing the same error. Haven't looked at Uplay in a long time. I installed winbind, Uplay still crashes at start, I joined you the wine log.
Could you try if "winetricks allfonts" makes any difference for you? I tried the app, and it crashes for me too (but without the crash dialog), but after installing fonts i get up the login-window. I don't have a login so could't test any further -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39870 --- Comment #8 from Adam Bolte <abolte(a)systemsaviour.com> --- Created attachment 53387 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=53387 Console output from various test runs in Wine 1.9.1. I'm not sure if installing the fonts through winetricks helped or not, but it seems to log in successfully now randomly (maybe half of the time). It may have been that way before as well, but perhaps I didn't re-try enough times to see it work. I was able to produce three kinds of failures; one logging in where all windows disappear and the application appears to have crashed but a process is still there in the background that must be killed off with "wineserver -k", one logging in where the Uplay crash dialog box is shown, and one when Quit was selected from the main menu where the Uplay crash dialog box is also shown after the main window closed. Each time a crash occurred (regardless of which one), the following line was printed to the log: [0109/231637:WARNING:channel.cc(558)] Failed to send message to ack remove remote endpoint (local ID 2147483648, remote ID 2) Tested with Wine 1.9.1. I can't easily test at the moment, but I see no evidence of that. All winetricks is doing is cabextact, which is WINEARCH independent. If you have evidence of a winetricks bug, file an issue on github, but please stop spreading misinformation. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39870 --- Comment #20 from winetest(a)luukku.com --- Uplay seems to complete mess to currently. I tried patches from bug 40271 bug 40271 bug 42014 (all patches didnt merge cleanly from this bug) also https://github.com/wine-compholio/wine-staging/tree/master/patches/kernel32-.... Since one of the bugs said that those are needed. And it still doesn't work as expected. But starts with wine-staging with no issues. I also tried winetricks -q corefonts. Staging should really try to upstream some of their uplay patches. This is a completele mess currently. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. fonts-Missing_Fonts kernel32-SetFileCompletionNotificationModes ntdll-SystemRecommendedSharedDataAlignment server-LABEL_SECURITY_INFORMATION
Are you sure about these? For what bug is patch(es): ntdll-SystemRecommendedSharedDataAlignment and kernel32-SetFileCompletionNotificationModes The depends list of this bug should be upgraded. Windows version: Win 10 Uplay crashes if I try to run it with Nvidia 760M card (drivers 387.34) using OpenGL renderer. Uplay client launches without any problems if I change renderer to GDI.
