[Bug 29554] New: Mozart11 window size not adjustable
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29554 Bug #: 29554 Summary: Mozart11 window size not adjustable Product: Wine Version: 1.3.36 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: let02do(a)earthlink.net Classification: Unclassified Created attachment 38288 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=38288 Wine console output Unlike the ordinary behavior in Windows, under wine Mozart11's main workspace window can't be adjusted to an intermediate size by dragging with the cursor. This is true even when Mozart is run in an virtual window, and with the "Allow the window manager to control the window" box checked or unchecked. This functioned in wine-1.3.34 but does not in wine-1.3.36-72-g8d66ca1 There were some versions before 1.3.34 with similar problems. Ordinarily in Windows, with the cursor positioned on an edge of the window, by holding down the mouse's left click button one can drag that edge out or in to get a larger or smaller window. Unfortunately, the intervening wine version since 1.3.34 caused Mozart to crash on start up until that bug #29505 was fixed with 1.3.36-72-g8d66ca. Now, with the crash bug fixed an inability to re-size the window can be seen in 1.3.36-72-g8d66ca. Bisection seems like a confusing option since the intervening points tend to crash... While bisecting from 1.3.34 to 1.3.36-72-g8d66ca , there were "good" points where Mozart did not crash. So, suppose for this new bug a "good" point was assigned to a place where there is _both_ no crash and the window is re-sizable--but then bad points always have a crash. I don't see any way to distinguish if a bad point is a crash + a good re-size or a crash + a bad re-size , so one side of the bisection is always in doubt. :-( -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Maybe the crashes have corrupted something in your install or something like that. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29554 --- Comment #2 from Lawrence E Toal <let02do(a)earthlink.net> 2012-01-07 14:04:09 CST --- I deleted the .wine directory and started with a fresh install of Mozart 11 running from wine-git --and like magic the problem went away... Clearly the bug was in my memory of how to troubleshoot, not in wine. Sorry for the false report. Thanks for the gentle guidance. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
