What's content of the link you are "double-clicking" on? It's a text file so paste it here.
not a link..... i go to the folder where the game installed and double click the exe file. try 1 and 2 failed miserably, try 3 worked, but on all three tries a fullscreen application started despite my settings calling for a virt Desktop in wine. How did you configured the virtual desktop? Make sure Wine is not running.
