[Bug 31112] New: WORD 2010 crasches while selecting printer
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31112 Bug #: 31112 Summary: WORD 2010 crasches while selecting printer Product: Wine Version: 1.5.7 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: lviggiani(a)gmail.com Classification: Unclassified Steps to reproduce: 1) Open word 2010 2) type something in the new document created 3) Select file -> print 4) In most cases here it crashes. If so, select "recover document and re open word", create new document and type somethig, then repeat from point 3 5) Once you get to the printing form, click on the drop down menu to select a printer 6) Here it crashes again. Repeat from point 4 7) the third/fourth time you try to print, you can finally select a printer and print out. If you then close word, next time you re-open it and try to print, you've to start all over again and try three / four times before you can actually print. I've noticed that every time word restarts after a crash, the zoom level of the recovered or new document is set to 10%. Also, the same story happen when you try to open a saved document: first time it crashes, then you reopen / recovery word, and finally you can open the saved document successfully. Please notice that I had created a clean wine prefix and re-installed office 2010 professional plus after installing wine 1.5.7 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31112 --- Comment #6 from Luca Viggiani <lviggiani(a)gmail.com> 2012-07-03 05:20:21 CDT --- I've looked at PlayOnLinux project and saw that it is using wine 1.5.3 for the installation script of Office 2010. I've tested it and it works under playonlinux. So I've tried to install the same packages/dlls and set the same overrides done by play on linux but with wine 1.5.7 I still have the same bug. Also, I remember that I started having this bug after upgrading to wine 1.5.6, thus my guess is that this is a regression introduced between 1.5.4 and 1.5.6 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

What distro are you using? Is this a pure 32 bit wineprefix, with no native dlls other than the riched20 Office itself installs, and is the Windows version set to XP? Did you install wine-mono? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31112 --- Comment #8 from Luca Viggiani <lviggiani(a)gmail.com> 2012-07-03 08:48:27 CDT --- I'm on ubuntu 12.04 64 bits. It's a clean wine prefix created with the WINEARCH=win32 env variable set. I've tried both with wine-mono and without, same result. Windows version is set to XP. However it was working with wine prior to 1.5.6 (ie 1.5.4) and it's now working with wine 1.4 (wine 1.4.1). What's your configuration? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

I'm on ubuntu 12.04 64 bits.
I'm on 64 bit openSUSE 11.4. Your problem may be either another manifestation of bug 30410 or another botched attempt to work around it (bugs 31060 and 30859). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
