[Bug 41749] New: Cannot change volume in Ether One Redux
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41749 Bug ID: 41749 Summary: Cannot change volume in Ether One Redux Product: Wine Version: 1.9.23 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: plata(a)mailbox.org Distribution: --- It is possible to move the sliders, however this does not seem to have any effect on the actual volume. Especially the environment sounds do not seem to be affected at all. Therefore it is quite hard (sometimes even impossible) to understand the dialogs. I tried pulse and alsa. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I tested this with Everspace and I turned the volume all the way down to "OFF" within the game and the sound levels never changed. I also adjusted the volume slider up and down so that some data may get generated. I've attached a log with the +tid,+seh,+mmdevapi,+winmm,+driver,+msacm,+midi,+dsound,+dsound3d,+xaudio2,+xapofx,+dmusic,+mci,+pulse,+oss,+alsa,+coreaudio,+timestamp sound channels. Be warned, it's about 154 MB uncompressed. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I think it's a very similar issue. Our submix voices don't really do anything. The log here doesn't use SetVolume, but does use SetEffectParameters which may be doing the same thing. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Hi Andrew, If you need additional logs or anything to help fix the problem, please let me know. This issue makes almost all of the UE4 games I am testing quite unbearable to play. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
