[Bug 6049] Regression in displaying symbol fonts

After regression test with bisect on wine-git source, I can confirm that since
the patch mentioned here, finale (music typesetting program) displays boxes
instead of some jazz font characters. Checked with freetype 9.10.3 and fontforge
based on sources from 20041014.
