Workaround is native quartz from DX9 (winetricks - the Win7 quartz has its own problems). Native qcap needed to get around Bug 30904, and optionally gdiplus for Bug 30899. native quartz causes a new crash
That's Bug 42502 and can be worked around. No change with Wine 3.0-rc2. With Staging 2.21 the application survives longer, and even tries playing some audio, albeit terribly, before crashing the same way.
