[Bug 15572] New: Adobe Photoshop CS3 z-order problems
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15572 Summary: Adobe Photoshop CS3 z-order problems Product: Wine Version: 1.1.6 Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: NEW Keywords: download Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com Photoshop CS3, when run with native gdiplus, looks not so bad. However, the grey frame just inside the window border always appears on top. Thus when you choose "Help / Photoshop Online", a nice Firefox window shows up, but it's partly obscured by the grey frame. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15572 Diffident <mareko(a)mit.edu> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |mareko(a)mit.edu --- Comment #3 from Diffident <mareko(a)mit.edu> 2009-10-21 03:17:40 --- I second this. While photoshop cs3 is not easy to install currently (there is a bug that prevents the setup from installing), there are workarounds to get the setup going so it might be time to start fixing photoshop itself. Note: I was able to install it using "winetricks msxml6 gdiplus gecko vcrun2005 ie6" and the attached patch (forward ported from the patch offered on http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18070) applied to 47ec8ab0f3fcd66e0a9b8000b0826066a7bdca8a. Without the native gdiplus, the new CS3-style toolbars do not render at all. With it, things are much better. The toolbars originally are rendered black, though after clicking on them they show up correctly minus the z-order problem mentioned by the original poster. I'm attaching a screenshot showing the problem. Note how the image window is overlapping with the rightmost panel. Also, note the black rectangles to the left of the right most panel and under the leftmost panel. Thank you! Is this still an issue i current (1.5.4) or newer wine ? You may also close this as abandoned if you feel that that this is issue is no longer relevant to you. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Wine 1.5.22 patched against bugs 18070 and 14879. Probably, painting problem is with Adobe's custom widgets. AFAIS, they use their own custom widget toolkit (looks like Qt but not sure). It renders unsteady. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
