[Bug 43330] New: Multiple games need nvapi function 0x6a16d3a0
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43330 Bug ID: 43330 Summary: Multiple games need nvapi function 0x6a16d3a0 Product: Wine-staging Version: 2.12 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: byi5000(a)gmail.com CC: erich.e.hoover(a)wine-staging.com, michael(a)fds-team.de, sebastian(a)fds-team.de Distribution: --- Watch_Dogs(1) and CoD Black Ops 2 need this function fixme:nvapi:unimplemented_stub function 0x6a16d3a0 is unimplemented! Watch_Dogs will complain about a missing DX11 adapter and BO2 fails silently. Workaround is simulating an AMD card: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D] "VideoPciDeviceID"=dword:000067df "VideoPciVendorID"=dword:00001002 Since BO2 renders close to perfect in Wine-2.12-staging, this function should get some attention. (I tagged this as wine-staging specific issue, because only in wine-staging progress is done on nvapi) -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43330 --- Comment #4 from BieHDC <byi5000(a)gmail.com> --- I always run into trouble when compiling, because distros like to ship wrong versions of required packages. What distro do you use/recommend for compiling? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43330 --- Comment #5 from Michael Müller <michael(a)fds-team.de> --- Which distro (and version) do you use? Maybe I can build a test package on the build server. I personally use Debian, which is not such a great choice when compiling Wine, due to multiarch conflicts. Arch Linux and Fedora should be able to provide a build environment for a WOW64 Wine version without requiring any hacks. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43330 --- Comment #6 from BieHDC <byi5000(a)gmail.com> --- I tried it with Linux Mint(worst choice) and antergos, but there were not all correct packages (especially 32-bit ones) installable, nether through the AUR nor external source code. I assume you have an automated script which patches wine with the staging patches and compiles it. Maybe that could help me? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43330 --- Comment #7 from Michael Müller <michael(a)fds-team.de> --- I made a test build for all officially supported distributions. You can find the files at https://dev.wine-staging.com/builder/group/179/download/. For a WOW64 built, you will need to install the corresponding 32 and 64 bit packages. For Debian/Ubuntu this is: wine-staging-amd64_2.12.0~DISTRO_amd64.deb wine-staging-i386_2.12.0~DISTRO_i386.deb wine-staging_2.12.0~DISTRO_amd64.deb (optional: winehq-staging_2.12.0~DISTRO_amd64.deb) The best way is to check which packages are currently installed and replace them with the test build. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Fixed, both games are happy and i am too ;) Thanks for your great work!
Glad that it works! :) Just a small remark: In the future, please keep the bug report open, until all patches have been added. At the time when you closed it the patchset was still in the state "New", but has been accepted in the meantime. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
