Hi, i download last wine source. i compiling and when i use wineinstall i have the follow error if i execute wine i have the same error wine client error:9: version mismatch 113/109. Your wine binary was not upgraded correctly, or you have an older one somewhere in your PATH. Or maybe the wrong wineserver is still running? Registry install failed. what can i do? -- Moreno <morenoca(a)freemail.it>

Internet Explorer regressions

Back to the real thing now, is anybody else seeing big regressions in IE? Rendering speed has dropped through the floor, I can watch it paint the web page in chunks. Fonts seem a bit off, and I need a load of native DLLs otherwise it freezes, seemingly spinning - but when I attach in winedbg and take a look, it seems all the threads are simply blocking on NtWaitForMultipleObjectsEx. I'm wondering if I broke my setup somewhere along the way, or if the latest round of checkins b0rked IE. this is frustrating.... so close to our app working!! :/ ta -mike

First, it's 1000000, which is one zero more than what you wrote (and what the code used: +1000000.0). Second, one MHz *IS* 1000000Hz. So there are two possibilities: a) the code should calculate the result in units of kHz (then your observation would be correct) b) you are (completely? ;) wrong Andreas Mohr

Hello, With these three fixes all failed urls are fixed and there is only one issue of WWN in the past 13 weeks that has a failed url. The fixes to cvs.shtml, opengl-problems.shtml, wine-debugger.shtml are in #2 and #3. I was going to try and fix most/all the WWN links but after looking into this I see it could be a time consuming task. And i'm not sure how substantial the end benefit would really be.. Anyone have any comments about this ? If you guy's think its a good thing ill fix as many as I can.. If you think its a no win situation I will just look at the past 13 issues in the future.. Tom

removal of duplicated / out of date work

Hi, I was looking through /wine/documentation and there is a old faq in there faq.sgml and the old status directory and after looking at cvs : http://cvs.winehq.com/cvsweb/wine/documentation/status/ it looks as most of this is 4 years old. Is any of this going to be removed in the future ? Tom

Perhaps I just didn't notice. In future I'll try and remember to compile with -Werror before submitting. In this case I think it's mostly academic as the string doesn't have any non ANSI characters in it, but I think another solution might be to put an L before the string, so it becomes: SetPropW(hDlg, L"__WINE_WHATEVER"....)

Hi I have got exactly the same error. This is what i have done to solve it: 1/ Kill all wineserver instances killall wineserver 2/ Kill all wine instances killall wine 3/ Recompile my lastest wine sources make depend && make && make install It did work for me. HTH Stephan
