Getting a bunch of people to test it may give us good data on how much it improves things, which is currently lacking.
That one should be maintained too.... not a difficult task but a time consuming one. Still I think that the better way should be to include as an "optional" component in main tree.....
I meant for distributions. E.g., there is already, for many: wine-stable wine-devel could add: wine-experimental I'm not suggesting an additional branch for winehq.org. AJ is busy enough as is ;-). Besides, there's already http://repo.or.cz/w/wine/hacks.git for that. -- -Austin
