Because of the testing:

    if (!message) return MAPI_E_FAILURE;

and

        if (!message->lpRecips)
        {
            WARN("No recipients found\n");
            return MAPI_E_FAILURE;
        }

before

        address = message->lpRecips[i].lpszAddress;
        if (address)
        {

would it be safe to omit the initialization of "address"?
