Well, I don't know actually. Is sounds similar, but on my second installation, WINE worked with FreeType 2.7 without any problems and broke after installation of 2.8. The suggested workaround: export FREETYPE_PROPERTIES="truetype:interpreter-version=35" ...does not works at all.
