The ncurses warning is generally harmless. It matters if you're trying to use the ncurses frontend of wineconsole, but that's a fairly rare case. I have never seen the wine boot event issue myself :-\ . Stefan

My guess is that you installed wine from a binary package and tried to run something using it. It looks like you haven't installed the ncurses library.
