Yes, they are quite helpful. To be even more useful,
please change the lines:

CC      = gcc
WRES    = windres

into:

ifndef WINE
CC      = gcc
WRES    = windres
else
CC      = winegcc
WRES    = wrc
endif

This way they are ready to compile as Winelib apps just by doing:

make -f file.mak WINE=1
