cvs broken?

If I try to download a file from cvs
I get this error.

Error
Error: Unexpected output from cvs co: cvs [checkout aborted]: Absolute 
module reference invalid: `/wine/dlls/msdmo/msdmo_main.c'

Check, whether there exists a directory /home/wine/CVSROOT and the 
script has write-Access to the CVSROOT/history if it exists.
It needs to place lock-files in the directory the file is in as well.
